Review process and review mechanism
To ensure the quality of the journal, the editorial department has established a complete set of standardized workflow. Authors can log in to the website of the Metrology & Measurement Technology, http://www.jicejishu.net, to conduct online submission. After submission, the manuscript is received and registered by the editors. The manuscript can only be employed after going through three stages: preliminary review, referee’s review and chief editor final review.
(1) Preliminary review
The executive editor is responsible for the preliminary review of the manuscripts. According to the search, if the repetition rate of manuscripts is greater than 20%, they generally cannot be reviewed. If it is less than 20% (preferably less than 10%), and the manuscripts meet the submission requirements, have appropriate structure, clear expression, correct grammar and good overall quality, they will be classified by discipline and submitted to peer experts for review.
(2) Peer review
The referee’s review adopts the double-blind review system of two peer reviewers. Peer reviewers are responsible for reviewing the manuscript, evaluating its academic value, authenticity of data, preciseness and scientificalness of structure, and putting forward written modification opinions according to the review requirements, and making suggestions on employment, reexamination after modification or rejection.
(3) Final review
The chief editor is responsible for the final review. The manuscripts that have passed the preliminary review and external review are sorted and catalogued by the professional editor and submitted to the chief editor for final review within a limited time. The manuscript structure and overall quality are strictly controlled. The final reviewer has the right to veto the manuscript that has been decided to be published after preliminary review and external review, and prompt for modification or rejection if it is found that it does not meet the requirements.
Peer review mechanism
The journal strictly implements the peer review mechanism, and each paper that has passed the preliminary review by the editor must be reviewed by two peer reviewers. The reviewers employed are experts and scholars or discipline leaders who are engaged in long-term metrology and measurement research and precision measuring machine and instrument development The authors will be informed of the comments after the review. If authors have any objection to reviewer’s conclusion, they may have the opportunity to defend themselves. If necessary, multiple reviewers can be invited for joint review.
Authors can receive comments on the revision of the manuscript, and the notice of acceptance or rejection from the editorial department within one month. |
