Introduction to the Metrology & Measurement Technology Journal
Metrology & Measurement Technology (former name: Aviation Metrology & Measurement Technology) is a journal of metrology science and measurement technology issued to the public, which is managed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd (AVIC) and sponsored by Changcheng Institute of Metrology & Measurement. Metrology & Measurement Technology is an important knowledge transmission media and a technical exchange platform for scientific research papers in the field of metrology and measurement technology. The purpose of the journal is to establish a cornerstone in metrology and measurement, build an innovation platform, promote technological progress, and assist in national development strategy. It plays an important role in publicizing new technologies, methods and achievements in metrology and measurement, and promoting technical exchange and application.
Metrology & Measurement Technology has a long history and industry influence. In December 1958, The Linear Measurement Journal, its predecessor, was officially published. In 1981, it was changed to Metrology & Measurement Technology. The scope of the journal has gradually expanded from the initial geometric quantity to the thermodynamics, mechanics, electronics, optics, acoustics, time and frequency, covering the top ten metrology fields. Marshal Nie Rongzhen wrote the title of "Metrology & Measurement Technology" for this journal on September 7, 1987. In 1990, according to the requirements of industry management, the journal was renamed Aviation Metrology & Measurement Technology and was released to the public. It was not until February 2005 that the bimonthly journal was published under the title of Metrology & Measurement Technology, which was publicly available both at home and abroad. |
