Abstract:A method of using the reflecting diffractive grating to measure the instantaneous strain is described in this paper.Using one dimension bar which is thin and long,named Hopkinson bar,the strain value and the sensitivity coefficient K of the strain have been got after measuring the absolute velocity of the end of the bar.The theory calculation and the experimental result are analysed.The conclusion on this method is given and the farther research orientation is pointed out.
