The theory and key technique of the pistonphone used for the microphone calibration are compendiously described in this paper.The study progress of the pistonphone used for the microphone calibration,including the design of the chamber,the measurement of the piston displacement and the compensation of the influence factors etc,are summarized with relative references as well.Furthermore,the development trend of the pistonphone is discussed.
