Military metrology is playing a more important role in both the modern wars and the future ones; in particular, information-based joint alliance and cooperation in battles appear to be the representative model of the current wars ; therefore, military metrology has become one of the criteria to judge the battle effectiveness. This paper, while making an analysis on the demands for military metrology on the basis of its function in recent battles, illustrates the relations we face in establishing an information-oriented military metrology.
