More precision measuring instruments have been developed to meet the globalization and informatization of large-scale industrial manufactures. The current situation and characteristics of large-scale measuring instruments are presented and the methods of calibration and traceability are analyzed in brief. The development trend of traceability for large-scale measuring instruments in the future is also discussed.
