During the manufacture process it's very important to control and measure the homogeneity of glass for ensuring the quality of the glass.The optical method of the homogeneity measurement is applied during float glass manufacture.The experimental results show that the clear optical homogeneity image of the sample of float plate glass can be got by the imaging system using parallel polarization ray of light and the CCD image manipulation,and the light intensity curve can be analyzed quantitatively.Thus the realiable basis can be supplied for the quality evaluation and technology control of the glass.
