Taking the internal Xingtian UMM as an example, the basie principle of the intellectual-ization reform of UMM, the main functions of 2D measuring software, the mathematic algorithm of the universal geometric elements and its form and position error are presented. Some measures ensuring test accuracy are discussed. The verification and comparison results of U1 and U2 are given.
