This paper presents the method of measuring large scale diameter based on laserscanning principle and describes its working principle and photoelectric of the system. The scanningvelocity characteristic of the laser scanning optical system is analyzed theoretically. It is also discussedthat the errors of the scanning velocity have the effect on its measuring accuracy in detail.
