This paper focuses on some problems about sapphire fiber grating, such as sapphire fiber manufacture, cladding material of sapphire fiber selection and manufacture, achieving single mode transmission in sapphire fiber and so on. After researching several related papers, LHPG and EDFG, cladding manufacture methods, making sapphire fiber grating and solutions for single mode transmission of sapphire fiber are introduced.
