In this paper, the reasons caused by the perpendicularity error of theodlite horozontal axis and vertical axis are pointed out. The impact of the error on theodolite horizontal direction measurement is analysed. The test method of this error is given out. The calibration uncertainty of the error is analysed. Finally expereiments are conducted to verify the correctness of analysis.
