    Abstract:

    The laser gyro is virtually a digital sensor which outputs angular increment in the form of quantized pulses. The quantization error influences the test precision as well as white noise in angle. To reduce the effect of quantization error and obtain high precision, moving average filters are developed. The theoretic analysis and experimental results show this method reduces effectively the quantization error and gets an exact evaluation on the laser gyro.
