| The Bienayme-Chebyshev inequality provides a quantitative bound on the level of confidence (or probability of confidence) of a measurement under the condition that the combined standard uncertainty and assumed coverage factor having been known. The result is independent from the concrete from of the probability distribution of the measurand. |
